T-Mobile is offering Caller Tunes, a new feature that allows callers to hear a song instead of the normal "ring ring." This new option features many songs from the actual artists and includes a variety of genres including rap, rock, alternative and everything 80's.

Caller Tunes costs the customer $1.49 a month with the first month free. The songs are $1.99 a download and users can store up to eight Caller Tunes. Customers can preview and download songs from their cell phone or the Internet.

Caller Tunes provides many options for customers such as an intro greeting that callers hear telling them to enjoy the music until its answered. For example, "Hi this is John, keep listening and I will answer in a moment." This helps eliminates any confusion that could generate from a caller.

Other options include the ability to play one song for one person or group and another song for another person or group. For instance a fun song can be played for family while a love song could play for a romantic partner. Customers also have the option to turn on a regular ring tone for certain callers as well.
