Cell Phones offer Triple X Entertainment

The porn industry is breaking into an entirely new world, the world of cell phones, iPods and other handheld devices, that allow transfer of photos or movies. By 2010, analysts estimate that this business could bring in $10 billion.

The concept has not made it to United States yet, but in Europe and Latin American, cell phone porn is a big hit. Many of the larger US providers such as Sprint and Verizon will not offer any type of erotic services through their companies but already there are independent companies allowing porn downloads for cell phones.

David Samberf, a Verizon Wireless spokesman stated, "We have no plans to offer that kind of content," adding that the company has even pulled music videos with "over the top" content.

"The content standards we apply are the same as those that are used for over-the-air television broadcasts. We are very conscious of Sprint as a brand, and we are not looking at offering that kind (adult) of content," stated a spokesperson from Sprint.

Speculation is already occurring about what type of rules and laws could come about from such a risqué action. Viewing porn from your own home is nobodies business but when on the bus, does it become someone else's business? Currently several cities and states have banned pornographic DVD to played in an automobile.
