ComVoice is Looking For Telecom Agents & Master Agents

ComVoice was at the Channel Partner’s Show in Vegas last month, and they are looking for agents to sell their High Definition Telephone service. ComVoice uses Cisco phones, with their own software loaded, and those phones can do anything and everything I’ve ever seen in telecom. Since the system is basically a hosted PBX system, you can do everything a traditional phone system can do, plus it comes with virtual phone service features like auto attendant, find-me-follow-me and the ability to work anywhere in the world with a high speed internet service.

Each handset comes with the ability to make and recieve calls on 4 lines at once, so if you had 10 of these phones, you would have the ability to make 40 phone calls at once. Since the phones recognize calls to individual numbers, this feature would work great for internet businesses that have multiple companies/brands sitting in once location. So, if your customer has an online company with one name, but sells products wholesale under another, while dropshipping under a third name, he/she could run their whole business empire from one phone. Nothing like having the ability to talk to your supplier, customer and the shipping company from one phone, while only paying for one line.

If you’re an agent, or master agent, who works with actual customers, then you should contact ComVoice and add their products to your portfolio. From what I can gather from their site, they aren’t currently offering online sales tracking, so only “Real” telecom agents need apply. LOL

PS. I watched their sales video demo, and the whole system looks like any easy sale to any small and medium business, but the music on their sales video sucked. By the time the video was over, and started again automatically, I wanted to rip my ears off my head and  beat the person who made the video to death with them. (Hmm, that seamed a little aggressive, I might need to up my meds…)

Cell Phone Affiliate Programs

There have been a bunch of searches in my logs lately about prepaid and postpaid cell phone affiliate programs, as well as regular cell phone telecom , and master agents who have cell phone programs. Most of them centered around WireFly and LetsTalk, with a few that were just generic cell phone affiliate terms. So, here’s a list of cell phone companies, and where they have their affiliate, or agent, programs hosted, so that you can sign up to sell their services.

Cell Phone Company Affiliate Programs:

  • CJ.com
    • TracFone is the granddaddy of all the prepaid cell phone companies. As a matter of fact, if I’m not mistaken, both Net10 and StraightTalk are part of the TracFone system. TracFone pays 30%.
    • Net10 Prepaid Wireless this program pays 30% commissions on shipped products.
    • T-Mobile: Pays $0-$75, but they were just bought by Verizon this week, and Verizon has really been shutting down their agent programs lately. Read what other agents are saying about Verizon.
    • Straight Talk Prepaid Phones StraighTalk prepaid phone service through JC pays 30% of the purchase price, less shipping and handling of course.
    • Wirefly.com pays $20-$65 per sale. They have a tiered system that basically starts at $35 ($20 for a Netbook), and steps up as you sell more phones. The first step is at 6 phones in a month, and the final one is 51 phones in a month. WireFly offers phones and plans from Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Nextel and Net10.
    • LetsTalk.com pays $5-$70. LetsTalk offers phones and plans from AT&T, Sprint-Nextel, Verizon, T-Mobile and MetroPCS.
  • LinkShare.com
    • MetroPCS You earn $25 every time MetroPCS receives a visitor from your website who purchases and maintains a MetroPCS phone plan for at least a month and a day.
    • AT&T Cell Phone Service, including their GoPhone® prepaid cell phone product. Affiliates earn up to $45 per sale.

There are a bunch of Master Agents offering cell phone plans from AT&T, Sprint, Nextel, MetroPCS, Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile, but most of them aren’t web enabled, which means that they want you to go into businesses and sign up 20-3000 people at a time. Of course, that’s the way to make real money in telecom, but it also means you have to fill out the paperwork and walk it through the system. If you’re not a walk-in-the-door kind of guy or gal, then here are some Master Agents that have programs with WireFly and/or Letstalk, that are web enabled:

  • CommissionRiver.com: Both WireFly and LetsTalk.
  • wireless.amazon.com I didn’t see an affiliate program tied to their wireless program, but they do offer their little 4% affiliate program on all of Amazon, so I would think that it would work here too. (I’m not sure they really rank as a master agent, but they do sell everything, and you can sign up under them to sell cellular phones…)
  • eBay™: I’m not sure what eBay pays, but I do know that you can sign up and make money driving traffic to their auctions.

OK, this took like 4 hours, and I’m going insane. I’m tired of looking for cell phone affiliate programs, and I just don’t care any more. (Yeah, I need to go take some meds. LOL) Disclaimer, I sell for some of these guys, so I might make money if you sign up through the links. But, probably not enough to pay for the time it took me to write this stupid post…

If you have comments or questions about selling wireless services online, sign in and use the comment form, and I’ll get back to you. For more info on phone service, visit www.calling-plans.com or email me at help [at] calling-plans.com.

Channel Partner’s Show in Vegas

For those of you who didn’t go to the Vegas Channel Partner’s Show this year, you missed a good show. There were a lot of vendors looking for agents and master agents, and about half of the vendors were offering new types of revenue streams that I haven’t thought of tapping before. (Of course, it may not be that new, since I haven’t been to a Channel Partner’s Show since 2005.)

One of the educational tracks offered this year was all about using the cloud to create personalized telecom packages for your customers. By creating these types of packages, it makes your customer rely on you more, which makes them more “sticky” as a customer. These types of services included the ability to implement virtual desktops, along with virtual communications, so that your employees can work anywhere in the world, and just log onto their “Cloud” desktop to access all their work related files. Their cloud based desktop would then give them access to all their communications, applications, company information and other needed programs, whether they were accessing it from an Android, iPhone, iPad, Chrome laptop or regular desktop pc. The virtual desktops even included user licenses for the new Windows 7, if you want it, and could be built and packaged for your client’s company as needed. (Security feature for client… They can lock out an employee before they fire them. YES!)

Another product set I liked was green power. There were at least 5 power companies there looking for agents to package electrical power into packages that you set up for your clients. It’s not a bad gig if you look at it, since your job is to give your customers good products for a good price, saving them money on their power bill, while increasing your residual revenue stream sounds like a good idea to me. The cool thing about power sales is that the customer is switched seamlessly, just like they are with their telecom services. (Well, let me rephrase that… the power switching is seamless, “LIKE” telecom is “SUPPOSED” to be. LOL We’ve all seen that ball dropped a time or two…)

I’m going to go through my stacks of cards and fliers, and then contact companies and see who is on the ball and sends me more info when I ask for it. I will then sign up for their programs, test them out and let you know which ones I like. I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to let you know the ones that suck, because I’ll have to sign their NDA’s that say things like… “If you ever quit working for us, you can never say our name, or type it, or even think it”, or we will kill you and eat your children… Don’t laugh, this is the telecom industry, and since I’ve started working in the industry, I’ve had about 20 companies quit paying me, but then still have their lawyers send letters when I squawked in public. (I once got certified letters of intent to kill and eat me from 3 companies in one day, and they weren’t little companies either, they were multi-billion dollar companies and their names started with AO*, SPRIN* and ID*. LOL)

If you’re reading this, hit the Facebook like button on the upper right please, Google is starting to treat me like a poor relative, so I need traffic from somewhere…

Thanks,

Greg

Phone Service Domain Names

I’ve started selling some of my old domains on Flippa.com, and was thinking that maybe some of you would like some good phone service related domains to use for your telecom business websites. If I sell them to you here, then I don’t have to pay the listing fees etc… on Flippa, and you can get them for $30-$50 less per domain. I don’t feel like pricing them all out, so what I’m thinking is that you can just post an offer in the comments, and we’ll go from there.

Here’s the list of old telecom domain names I have for sale. It should be noted that some of them still have money making websites on them, so that may raise the prices on some of them:

2011 Channel Partners Telecom Conference

If you’re a , a telecommunications VAR (Value Added Reseller) or any other telecom related company that’s looking to increase their business footprint in 2011 and beyond, it’s time to get ready for the 2011 Channel Partner’s Conference in Las Vegas. The Conference is being held in March, at the Aria Resort and Casino, and is the place to go if you’re interested in increasing your knowledge of telecom products and services. This year my main interest is finding out more about cloud based products and services, and how to put together unified communications packages for my business customers.

I’m also going to meet with channel managers from some telecom companies I already work with, and to “shop” the expo floor for new companies to represent. What I’m really interested in is trading out my old landline phone service type products for integrated VoIP and SIP type products that offer my customers a better deal for their dollars. I found out years ago that if I find my customers the best deals, they tend to stay with me over the years. And, since I’ve been running a net loss in total local and long distance phone service customers since 2005, I need to find a good set of IP based voice and data products and services to replace the old wireline ones.

ps. If you’re a telecom related company that wants to meet while I’m there, drop me an email.

New Agent Program from Top10Providers.com

If you are a telecom agent, and have leads that are in an area of telecom that you don’t usually sell in, or aren’t comfortable selling in, then you might be interested in a new program from Top10Providers.com that buys telecommunications leads.  Top10Providers.com is currently buying leads in the following 6 categories:

  1. Internet Access
  2. Voice Services
  3. Integrated Voice & Data
  4. Private Lines

The prices for a good lead are between $20.00 and $40.00 and need to include information about the client, including what the client wants, when he/she wants it, and it has to be something they can actually afford. If these terms are met, and the client can be reached, then you’ll get paid. And the really cool thing, is that you’ll get paid in around 10 days, instead of the usual 90-120 days that it takes for a regular telecom customer to start paying.

The Top10Providers.com site also has XML plugins that you can put on any telecom websites you may own, as well as other tools to help you get qualified leads into the system. So, if you’re going on vacation or all you’re used to selling is home phone service and don’t want to deal with any new customers right now, or you don’t feel that you have the technical savvy to really sell Internet Access, Business Voice Services, Integrated Voice & Data, Private Lines, Multi-Site Networks or Fiber Connectivity, then ship those customers over to Top10Providers.com and get your money in a couple of weeks instead.

Cox Cable Becomes Cellular Service Provider

Cox Cable is dealing itself into the cellular service game, against companies that have been in it for 20 years. Friday, the 19th of November, Cox Cable started offering cell phone service in three test areas, in an attempt to break into the cell phone service market. While it would look like Cox doesn’t have a chance against the big wireless companies, they actually have a pretty good chance at pulling it off; at least in their local markets, which are huge.

Since Cox Cable is already the nation’s third largest cable and broadband company, with about 6 million total customers, Cox already has a built in customer base that they can market to without spending much money. Since they already have 6 million households that they’re sending bills to, it’s pretty easy to add marketing materials that include adding wireless phone packages to their landline telephone service, Cable TV and high speed internet service bundles. And, since more than half the people in the United States own a cell phone, Cox’s in-house customer list should realistically include over 12,000,000 cellular customers to market to.

So, if you’re an agent that has a contract to sell Cox Cable packages, you should soon be able to include cellular service to your Cox customers. And, if you already have a Cox customer base in Hampton Roads, VA, Omaha, NE or Orange County, CA, then you should get started now, since those were the three test areas that Cox opened up Friday.

If you’re interested in finding out more about Cox Cable’s new wireless phone service, that they are calling Unbelievably Fair Wireless, then visit http://www.unbelievablyfairwireless.com. Also, if you don’t have a master agent, and want to sell Cox Cable packages, you can sign up to sell them at CJ.com.

As the nation’s third largest cable and broadband company, Cox has about 6 million total customers. Cox is also the nation’s third-largest cable television provider.
